The Sahel Alliance is structured around 4 key pillars, including the mutual accountability of partners and the Sahelian countries concerned, based on measured and shared results. This pillar of mutual accountability involves a process that includes all stakeholders; the alignment of donor strategies with partner countries' priorities; greater transparency; and clear and quantified performance criteria.
This is why the Sahel Alliance, in collaboration with the Sahelian countries (Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Chad), has developed a results framework including objectives and indicators in the key sectors of the initiative. This results framework aims to monitor progress on the ground and to reorientate the project portfolio if necessary.
On this basis, an exercise to collect and aggregate the results of projects labelled Alliance Sahel has been carried out at the occasion of the three and five years of the Alliance Sahel. The latest results of these exercises are available on this page.
